Sugar Slams Amex Over Credit Limit Snub
Lord Alan Sugar has publicly criticized American Express after he was denied an increase to his credit limit. The billionaire, known for his role as a judge on the reality TV show 'The Apprentice', spoke out about the experience on social media platform X.
Sugar, who has a reported net worth of £1.138 billion, claimed that despite speaking with multiple representatives, he was refused the increase due to American Express's system.
In his post, Sugar described the experience as 'exposing what a bunch of idiots Amex are'. He also responded to comments from followers, including one who questioned why he needed credit given his wealth. Sugar explained that he doesn't carry large amounts of cash and uses credit cards for everyday purchases.
