Super Micro Clears Leadership in Nvidia Chip Export Probe
Super Micro Computer has wrapped up an internal investigation into allegations that Nvidia chips were illegally shipped to China. The probe found no evidence of wrongdoing by current leadership and cleared executives from any involvement in the alleged scheme.
The investigation, led by independent directors Scott Angel and Tally Liu, was conducted with the law firm Munger Tolles & Olson and consultant AlixPartners. It determined that previous financial statements remained reliable and found no proof of direct sales to restricted entities.
The company's stock price rose as high as 5.9% after the announcement but later dropped to 0.4%. The internal probe cleared current leaders, but the legal drama is not over, with three people charged still pleading not guilty.
