SurrealDB Taps Former IBM Exec Debbie Landers as Strategic Advisor

SurrealDB has appointed Debbie Landers as its strategic advisor. The former IBM executive joins the AI database company, which raised $23m in a Series A extension earlier this year, taking its total funding to $44m.

Landers has been advising SurrealDB since August 2025 and has over 30 years of experience at IBM, where she rose from programmer to general manager. She also held executive leadership roles across various areas of their global database/information management division and led the integration of two large acquisitions.
