Sydney Gains Intimate Jazz Club Curtains
Curtains Jazz Club is Sydney's newest addition to the world of jazz, brought to life by the team behind The Baxter Inn, Shady Pines Saloon, and Alberto's Lounge. This intimate venue takes inspiration from renowned jazz rooms such as Ronnie Scott's in London, Smalls in New York, and Tokyo's record bars. With an anchor stage for live performances on Thursday through Sunday, Curtains Jazz Club features some of the city's best musicians, shifting between soulful grooves and high-tempo improvisation throughout each night.
Outside of live hours, the club maintains a rich soundtrack that transitions seamlessly from Monk to Japanese deep cuts and rare European pressings. The cocktail menu is also designed with international flair, incorporating unique ingredients such as jasmine and tonka bean, while the back bar boasts over 300 Japanese whiskies for those looking to explore beyond the menu.
Entry to Curtains Jazz Club is always free, making it a welcoming space for jazz enthusiasts of all levels. A daily happy hour from 5-7pm offers classic cocktails and wines by the glass before the room comes alive with live music in the evenings.
