Synthesis Capital's Robert Wickham on Venture Capital, Innovation, and MIT
Robert Wickham, a founding partner at Synthesis Capital, recently spoke to MIT Sloan Alumni Online about his career and experience in venture capital. With over 30 years of expertise across technology, startups, venture capital, global go-to-market strategies, and corporate leadership, Wickham has worked across Australia, the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Wickham's background includes serving as General Manager for Tableau Asia-Pacific at Salesforce, where he helped launch a A$50 million Australian venture fund supporting local enterprise technology startups. He also co-founded two successful startups: Go, a low-cost airline sold to easyJet, and Empirix Web Test Unit, acquired by Oracle.
In his current role as a trustee and past president of the MIT Alumni Association, Wickham emphasizes the importance of innovation, particularly in health technology, which Synthesis Capital supports through its venture capital fund.
