Syrian-born Digital Artist BossLogic Shares Journey from Fan Art to Hollywood Collaborations

BossLogic, a digital artist born in Syria, has made a name for himself by reimagining popular culture's most recognizable characters. His real name is Kode Abdo, and he has built a global following by creating art that combines his love of comic books, superheroes, and movies.

Abdo's career began with fan art, which he created simply because he wanted to see an idea realized. He would often experiment with different characters and scenarios, asking himself 'what if?' His approach eventually led to official commissions from major entertainment companies including Marvel, Disney, Warner Bros, Netflix, Paramount, and Sony.

One of the clearest turning points in Abdo's career came around Avengers: Endgame. He created official artwork connected to the film, including an exclusive poster for Atom Tickets and a series of character posters released by Marvel Studios. The Russo brothers, the film's directors, had previously commissioned Abdo to create artwork for their social media profiles.

Abdo remains committed to the sentiment that art is 'made by humans for humans'. He cautions younger artists against comparing themselves with creators who may have spent decades developing their craft and advises them not to rush to become the finished version of themselves. Instead, they should let their portfolio look messy and focus on building their individual voice over time.
