Tableau AI Agents Now Live in South Korea
Salesforce has announced that its Tableau AI agents are now available in South Korea. This development is part of the company's efforts to drive analytics to action within organizations.
At the DataFam Seoul 2026 event, Matthew Miller, Vice President of Global Tableau Product Management at Salesforce, stated that Tableau is evolving beyond simply deriving insights through analytics into an 'Agentic Analytics' platform. This shift is made possible by the knowledge engine and decision engine underpinning Tableau's AI capabilities.
The knowledge engine supports AI in providing more accurate answers and insights based on a corporation's data and business context, while the decision engine helps actual judgments and actions by AI agents on that basis.
Tableau's 'semantic layer' also plays a crucial role in helping AI agents understand the meaning and context of each dataset tailored to the industry and business characteristics of the corporations. This contributes to higher AI reliability and accuracy.
