Take-Two Cracks Down on GTA 6 Leaker with Microsoft and Discord Subpoenas
Take-Two Interactive is taking drastic measures to catch the GTA 6 leaker, also known as Cyberleek. The publisher has filed official DMCA subpoena requests with Microsoft and Discord to help track down the individual or group responsible for leaking a playable build of the game.
The request includes access to Xbox accounts, user profiles, and any associated device/telemetry records that may be linked to Cyberleek. Take-Two is seeking identifying information from Microsoft related to users who communicated with Discord servers during the time period from June 1, 2026, to present.
Cyberleek has been leaking footage of GTA 6 and claims to have a playable version of the game. They also claim to be fighting against practices they disagree with, such as digital pre-orders and locking away DLC that's already in the game.
The leaker is running a memecoin cryptocurrency, which they claim will help fund their operation, including some mystery project. According to an online user who investigated the memecoin, Cyberleek may have already pulled in $50,000 and counting.
