Take-Two Cracks Down on GTA 6 Leaker with Microsoft and Discord
Take-Two Interactive is cracking down on the GTA 6 leaker after extensive gameplay clips from an apparent full build of the game surfaced online. The publisher has filed DMCA subpoenas with Microsoft and Discord in a bid to identify the person behind the leaks.
The leaked content, which includes open-world exploration and major story cutscenes, has been shared on various platforms in exchange for cryptocurrency promotion. This move by Take-Two comes as Rockstar is set to premiere GTA 6 gameplay on Netflix next week.
The publisher's petition asks Discord to provide details on all accounts communicating within specific servers between June 1 and the present, including account IDs, registration emails, IP addresses, device identifiers, and linked services. Microsoft is being asked to hand over records tied to its internal investigation into the Cyberleek account.
