Take-Two Cracks Down on GTA VI Leaks with Microsoft, Discord Subpoenas
Take-Two Interactive, parent company of Rockstar Games, has issued subpoenas to Microsoft and Discord in an effort to uncover the identity of a leaker responsible for spreading Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) gameplay videos ahead of its November launch.
The company is seeking records related to various online accounts involved in posting and sharing leaks, including user data and information about associated OneDrive or linked Xbox accounts.
A petition filed with the Southern District Court of New York on August 20 states that Take-Two aims to identify the alleged infringer(s) responsible for leaking copyrighted material, including audiovisual content, artwork, images, dialogue, or other creative elements.
The leaker has been posting under the alias 'Cyberleek,' and has also used the leaks to promote a cryptocurrency meme coin.
