Take-Two Hunts GTA 6 Leaker with Subpoenas to Microsoft and Discord
Take-Two Interactive has issued multiple subpoenas in federal court as part of its investigation into the GTA 6 leaks. The company is seeking information from both Microsoft and Discord, specifically related to the 'CyberLeek' account, which it believes is behind the recent spate of GTA 6 gameplay videos.
The subpoenas request identifying information associated with all user accounts that were members of certain Discord servers, as well as internal business records from Microsoft's investigation into CyberLeek. Take-Two is also seeking any GTA, Rockstar, or CyberLeek content stored on the Discord members' OneDrive accounts.
One of the affected Discord servers belongs to DarkViperAU, a popular YouTube channel with 2.27 million subscribers that has been discussing the leaks. The channel's owner, Matthew 'Matt' Judge, denied any involvement in the leaks and claimed he was not aware of the specific Discord server mentioned in the subpoena.
The investigation comes as the leaker continues to release GTA 6 gameplay videos. Today marks the fourth consecutive day that new footage has been released, with the latest video featuring supercar gameplay and a watermark advertising a memecoin.
