Take-Two Interactive has issued subpoenas to Discord and Microsoft as part of its investigation into the recent GTA 6 leaks. The publisher is seeking records that may help it identify the person responsible for sharing private information pertaining to the upcoming game.
The subpoenas were filed in the Southern District Court of New York on August 20, according to a report from Kotaku. Take-Two Interactive Software's filing states that the copyrighted material includes audiovisual content, artwork, images, dialogue, and other creative elements.
Recent days have seen multiple GTA 6 leaks surface online, including gameplay footage from Rockstar Games' upcoming title. An individual or individuals claiming to be 'CyberLeek' have taken responsibility for the leaks and used the publicity to criticize GTA 6's lack of physical release while promoting their own cryptocurrency.
