Take-Two, parent company of Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar Games, has filed multiple subpoenas in federal district court to find the leaker of GTA 6 gameplay videos. The company is seeking user data from Microsoft and Discord to identify the individual responsible for leaking the footage.

The subpoenas were filed on August 20 with the Southern District Court of New York, asking Microsoft to provide user data by September 4. This includes 'all internal Microsoft business records and investigative records associated with Microsoft’s internal investigation of the ‘cyberleek’ persona sufficient to identify the user(s), person(s) and/or entity/ies associated with that persona.'

Discord has also been given a deadline to provide records related to user accounts communicating with Discord servers involved in the leak. The leaked GTA 6 gameplay videos were spread online, and Take-Two is seeking to protect its rights as the copyright owner.
