Take-Two Targets Leaker in GTA 6 Subpoena Blitz
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has launched a series of subpoenas in federal court to identify the source of GTA 6 leaks. The company invoked the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and targeted several Discord servers, including one operated by Australian GTA content creator Matthew 'DarkViperAU' Judge.
The subpoena seeks identifying details for every user account that belonged to these servers, as well as Microsoft's internal business and investigative files related to the inquiry into 'CyberLeek,' a suspected leaker. Take-Two also wants any GTA, Rockstar, or CyberLeek material stored in OneDrive accounts of Discord members.
The leaks continue unabated, with six apparent gameplay videos surfacing this week alone. The latest clip features supercar gameplay and promotes a memecoin called 'HIGHER MARKET CAP = MORE LEEKS.'
Just seven days remain before the scheduled release of Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look on Netflix, which may add to the pressure to identify the leaker.
