Take-Two Unleashes Crackdown on GTA 6 Leakers, Seeks IP Address and Account Details
Take-Two Interactive, parent company of Rockstar Games, is cracking down on GTA 6 leakers. The recent leaks have raised concerns about the security of confidential information and the impact on the upcoming Extended Look gameplay reveal scheduled for August 27, 2026.
The company has filed subpoenas in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Microsoft and Discord, seeking records that could help identify the individuals behind the leaks.
Take-Two is looking for a range of information, including account IDs, registration email addresses, login and registration IP addresses, phone numbers, linked accounts, device identifiers, and OneDrive files related to GTA or Rockstar Games.
The investigation also includes Discord communities where leaked content was shared, aiming to root out those involved in disseminating confidential information.
