'Tangled' Live-Action Remake Set for March 2028 Release
Disney has announced that its live-action adaptation of 'Tangled' will hit theaters on March 31, 2028. The news was revealed during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23, where the first footage from the remake was exclusively shown to attendees.
The film stars Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider, following the same Brothers Grimm fairytale as the 2010 animated movie about a princess with magically long hair. After spending years locked away in an isolated tower, Rapunzel is rescued by the fugitive thief, Flynn Rider.
The live-action cast includes Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel, the antagonist who locks Rapunzel away, and Diego Luna playing a new role. Patrick and Hugo McPherson play the Stabbington brothers, two twin villains.
