Tarabut Lands $50M from Saudi Banks for Embedded Lending Push
Tarabut, a Bahrain-founded financial infrastructure company, has secured $50 million in strategic financing from Saudi banks and business groups to focus on its embedded lending and credit decisioning efforts in the Kingdom. This is Tarabut's largest disclosed funding round since a $32 million Series A in 2023 led by Pinnacle Capital.
The latest financing comes with regulatory approvals, including from the Saudi Central Bank, still pending. The deal also involves Riyad Bank, the X-Tech Fund managed by SAB Invest and GIB Saudi Arabia, as well as regional institutions like Zamil Group and Kanoo Ventures.
Tarabut's focus on SMEs is now more pronounced than ever, with Saudi SME lending reaching SAR489.2 billion in the first quarter of 2026, a 28% increase from the previous year. The company aims to provide financial institutions with real-time data to verify customers and make credit decisions.
Tarabut has already made strides in its Saudi business, having processed over 5 billion API calls across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain. It has partnered with several prominent banks, including Saudi National Bank and Alinma Bank, as well as American Express Saudi Arabia.
