Romania's national carrier TAROM is set to receive its first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, which completed a test flight ahead of its planned delivery at the end of August.

The Boeing 737 MAX 8 will join TAROM's fleet as part of the airline's ongoing fleet renewal programme, marking a significant step in modernizing its operations and improving efficiency.

TAROM has been pursuing Boeing 737 MAX aircraft since 2023 and signed a leasing agreement in 2024 to acquire two planes. Further deliveries are planned as part of its long-term fleet renewal strategy.

The new aircraft will offer improved fuel efficiency compared to previous-generation planes, helping airlines reduce operating costs while increasing passenger capacity and range flexibility.
