Tata Boeing Aerospace Hits 400th Apache Milestone, Boosts India's Defence Manufacturing Ambitions
Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited, has reached a significant milestone by delivering its 400th Apache helicopter fuselage from its Hyderabad facility. This achievement highlights India's growing role in global aerospace manufacturing.
The facility, which employs over 750 engineers and technicians, uses advanced robotics, automation, and aerospace manufacturing technologies to manufacture the fuselages entirely in India before they are integrated into final aircraft delivered worldwide.
This milestone demonstrates India's increasing capability in producing complex aerospace structures for global defence programs. The Apache fuselages manufactured in Hyderabad are supplied to Boeing's international production network.
Tata Boeing Aerospace's achievement comes just days after Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) signed an agreement to explore Javelin missile co-production in India, further strengthening India's position in the global defence supply chain and supporting the country's long-term defence manufacturing ambitions.
