Tata Boeing Rolls Out 400th Made-in-India Apache Fuselage Amid Global Defence Push

Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) has reached a significant milestone in its production of Apache fuselage, rolling out its 400th unit from its Hyderabad facility. The company, a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), employs over 750 engineers and technicians who use advanced robotics and automation to produce the complex structures.

The AH-64E Apache attack helicopter is one of the world's most iconic rotorcraft platforms, with approximately 1,300 aircraft currently in operation across 19 countries. The fuselages produced by TBAL are built in India and integrated into final Apache aircraft supplied to customers worldwide, including the U.S.

The milestone highlights India's growing role in supporting global defence manufacturing, particularly through its aerospace ecosystem. Industry observers say that the achievement underscores both the maturity of India's aerospace sector and its integration into international supply chains.
