TBAL Hits 400th Apache Fuselage Milestone
Tata Boeing Aerospace (TBAL), a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems (TASL), has reached a significant milestone in its production of Apache fuselages.
The company delivered its 400th fuselage for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter, manufactured at its facility in Hyderabad. This achievement highlights India's growing role in the global aerospace and defence supply chain.
The facility has contributed to the six Apache helicopters delivered to the Indian Army in 2025. The Indian Air Force currently operates a fleet of 22 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters, operated by 19 countries worldwide with approximately 1,300 aircraft in service globally.
TBAL's production programme positions Indian manufacturing at the heart of a major international military aviation platform. The company employs over 750 engineers and technicians at its Hyderabad facility, using advanced robotics, automation, and aerospace manufacturing technologies to produce fuselage aerostructures for the Apache programme.
