TBAL Rolls Out 400th Apache Fuselage in Hyderabad
Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited, has rolled out its 400th fuselage for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter from its manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. The milestone highlights India's growing role in global aerospace and defence manufacturing.
The facility produces critical fuselage aerostructures for the Apache helicopter, which is used by military forces around the world. TBAL was established in 2016 and operates from a 52,000 square metre state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, employing over 750 engineers and technicians who work with advanced robotics and automation.
The Indian Air Force currently operates a fleet of 22 Apache helicopters, while six AH-64E Apache helicopters were delivered to the Indian Army in 2025. The company's manufacturing programme demonstrates India's increasing integration into global aerospace and defence supply chains, with TBAL's partnership between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems bringing together global aerospace expertise and Indian manufacturing capabilities.
