TCI Exits Microsoft, Boosts Alphabet Stake Amid Google Stock Surge
TCI Management has made significant changes to its portfolio in Q2, exiting Microsoft and increasing its stake in Alphabet.
The firm added 1.08 million shares of Alphabet Class C during the quarter, while its Class A position remained unchanged.
This move comes as Alphabet's stock continues to climb, with Class A shares up 70.55% over the past year and Class C shares up 68.58%.
In 2022, TCI urged Alphabet to cut costs and curb spending on long-term ventures such as Waymo, arguing that a leaner workforce would make the company more efficient.
