TCL Smart TVs Get Xbox App as Microsoft Expands Gaming Options
Microsoft continues to expand its Xbox app on various smart TV brands. The latest move is bringing the Xbox app to select TCL Smart TVs, following a recent launch on Hisense and VIDAA OS-powered TVs.
TCL had previously announced at CES in January that its new X11L SQD-Mini LED series running the Google TV platform would welcome Microsoft's Xbox app. Today, the Xbox team confirmed that 'millions of TCL TV users across more than 25 countries' will gain access to the Xbox app.
Chris Schnakenberg, CVP of Xbox Partnerships and Business Development, stated that by bringing the Xbox app to select TCL Smart TVs, players have another option to play their games and stay connected with their gaming community. As Microsoft continues to bring the Xbox experience to more devices, partnerships like this one provide flexibility for gamers to play their favorite games on any device they choose.
