TCL TVs Get Xbox App: Cloud Gaming Without a Console Coming Soon
Microsoft has announced a partnership with TCL to bring its Xbox app to select Smart TV models. This means users will be able to play Xbox games on their TVs without needing a console or PC.
The Xbox app will allow access to popular titles such as Forza Horizon 6, Gears of War: E-Day, and Halo: Campaign Evolved. Microsoft's goal is to make its gaming capabilities more accessible, with the company stating 'We want to be where the world plays.'
However, this new development comes with a caveat for existing Game Pass subscribers. Last week, Microsoft announced a time limit on cloud gaming hours for active users, meaning they may need to purchase additional hours to continue playing.
