TD Waterhouse Canada Inc., an institutional investor, increased its stake in International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) by 11.1% in the second quarter.
The company acquired an additional 13,169 shares during this period, bringing its total holdings to 131,314 shares worth $37,609,000 at the end of the most recent quarter.
TD Waterhouse Canada Inc.'s acquisition is not isolated; other hedge funds have also bought and sold shares of IBM. Brighton Jones LLC, for instance, increased its holdings in IBM by 12.4% in the fourth quarter, while Sivia Capital Partners LLC lifted its position in IBM by 10.6% in the second quarter.
These developments come as IBM continues to make headlines with strategic partnerships and announcements. The company has partnered with NASA on a lunar AI project, releasing an open-source Lunar Foundation Model that outperformed widely used mapping methods by up to 23%. IBM is also establishing a quantum innovation hub at ETH Zurich in Switzerland, powered by its Nighthawk r2 processor.
