Teams Badges Coming Soon: Showcasing Skills and Achievements

Microsoft Teams is expanding its features to let users showcase their skills and achievements. Starting in September 2026, users will be able to display badges on their profile cards, which will include awards and certifications. This feature aims to bring a more consistent experience across Teams and Outlook.

The addition of badges has been available to Microsoft 365 users since 2023, but it was initially limited to specific programs like Outlook and the Copilot app. With this new expansion, users can now showcase their expertise on the popular collaboration platform.

However, some users might find this feature overwhelming or unnecessary, as it may make their co-workers cringe at their displayed achievements.
