The issue started with Teams meetings, where users reported trouble joining or creating meetings, while some attendees who entered calls could not share their screens.

Microsoft confirmed the disruption in an update posted at 7:26 a.m. IST, saying that monitoring indicated the issue had largely been mitigated.

The company attributed the problem to 'maintenance related activity' that had an unintended impact on the Microsoft Teams service in the Asia-Pacific region.
