Teams Outage Hits Asia-Pacific Region
Microsoft Teams experienced an outage on August 26, affecting users in the Asia-Pacific region. The issue prevented users from joining and creating meetings, as well as sharing screens.
The problem was largely mitigated after Microsoft halted maintenance activity, but administrators were advised to monitor the service for a short watch window to prevent a recurrence.
This was not an isolated incident, with previous outages affecting Teams meetings and calls in the Asia-Pacific region on July 24. Additionally, there have been issues with screensharing video-quality degradation and malformed shared-channel 'Copy Link' URLs after a recent update.
