Tech Data Expands IBM Distribution Footprint in Six New APAC Markets
Tech Data has expanded its IBM distribution footprint in six new markets across the Asia Pacific region as part of TD SYNNEX's global expansion. The company, which is also an IBM partner for over 30 years, contributed around US$4 billion to IBM's global revenue.
The expanded markets include Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, and the Philippines. This move builds on Tech Data's existing specialized IBM practice in Australia, India, Singapore, and Vietnam. The company claims that this expansion will enable a more consistent partner experience and unlock new growth opportunities across both existing and expansion markets.
Tech Data President of APJ Jaideep Malhotra stated that the partnership between Tech Data and IBM is creating greater access to IBM technologies, expertise, and support for partners across ten APAC markets. This move will enable partners to capture new growth opportunities and deliver greater value to their ecosystem and customers.
The expansion also brings Select Blue, a joint initiative with IBM, to partners across the region. The program provides a structured framework to build scalable, repeatable practices in areas such as AI, data, and automation. Partners will have access to Tech Data's enablement, financing, pre-sales support, and go-to-market execution.
