Tech Giants Pump Trillions Into AI Infrastructure
The world's largest technology companies are committing significant amounts of capital to computing capacity, networking, and power/thermal infrastructure in response to growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
A recent report from the Bank for International Settlements estimates that five major global tech firms will invest more than $1 trillion in AI between 2025 and 2026.
This capital spending is translating into actual infrastructure demand, with companies such as Alphabet increasing their 2026 capital spending outlook to $195-$205 billion, while Microsoft plans to triple its data center footprint by 2032.
