Tech Giants Sound Alarm on AI-Enabled Cyber Threats
A warning from more than 100 companies, including Microsoft and Google, about the growing threat of AI-enabled cyber attacks has sparked debate over whether the industry is providing an adequate solution.
The open letter warns that years of unpatched software, weak authentication, excessive permissions, and technical debt have left organizations vulnerable to attack.
The companies argue that AI can make core security tasks 'faster, cheaper, and better,' but critics point out that the industry's proposed answer to the threat is, in part, the same technology.
