Tech Giants Unite with Japan to Fight Rising Online Scams

Cybersecurity threats from Southeast Asia have prompted Google, OpenAI, Meta, and TikTok to join forces with Japanese authorities and businesses in a public-private initiative.

The Japan Anti-Scam Alliance was launched on August 26 in Tokyo. The alliance aims to tackle a wave of online scams linked to countries such as Cambodia and Myanmar.
