Tech Giants Unleash Over $800 Billion on AI Infrastructure
Major technology companies have announced significant investments in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, marking a defining moment for the global tech industry. Nvidia and SK Group launched a more than $500 billion AI initiative focused on next-generation AI data centers, advanced memory technologies, and AI computing infrastructure.
The partnership includes collaboration with SK Hynix to secure next-generation memory supplies and jointly develop High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) solutions for AI training, AI agents, and physical AI applications. SK Telecom plans to build a 2-gigawatt AI data center powered by Nvidia's Vera Rubin AI chips and SK Hynix's HBM4 memory technology.
Microsoft also demonstrated strong cloud growth, with Azure revenue increasing 43% during the fiscal fourth quarter of 2026. The company expects to invest $50 billion in capital expenditure during fiscal Q1 2027 and approximately $175 billion during calendar 2026.
