Tech Group Slams Google Adtech Ruling as Misguided

The Tech Oversight Project has condemned a recent court order regarding Google's adtech business. US District Judge Leonie Brinkema rejected a government plea to break up Google's adtech operations, instead imposing behavioral remedies.

The advocacy group claims the decision is 'misguided' as it allows Google to continue operating a 'digital advertising monopoly that drives up the costs of everyday goods and services.'

'With Big Tech continuing to suffocate new and innovative businesses from gaining traction, Judge Brinkema, like Judge [Amit] Mehta before her, is sending the wrong message at the wrong time,' the group stated.
