Tech Stocks Fall as Oil Prices Rise, Dow Loses 628 Points
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 1.2% to 52,786.07 on Tuesday as oil prices rose and tech stocks declined.
Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, ServiceNow, and Credo Technology all lost value in the market.
The losses were partly driven by inflation fears following a weekend attack on Saudi Arabian oil facilities by Yemen's Houthi rebels.
The Federal Reserve is set to meet next week to consider raising its benchmark interest rate, which could boost bond and money-market yields and draw money away from equities.
