Tech Titans Clash: Apple Slumps, Microsoft Soars in Big-Tech Earnings Week
Big-tech results week came to an end on Friday as Apple's (AAPL) shares plummeted after its guidance miss. The company's stock experienced its worst single-day post-earnings sell-off since January 2013, a stark contrast to the overall market performance.
The slump was not isolated to Apple, however. Other tech giants such as Microsoft (MSFT) and Qualcomm (QCOM) also reported their quarterly earnings, but with different outcomes. While Apple's shares dropped, Microsoft's stock rallied, driven by strong revenue growth and a beat on analyst expectations.
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Western Digital (WDC), and NVIDIA (NVDA) were among the other tech companies that reported their earnings during this week. However, it was the big three - Apple, Microsoft, and Qualcomm - that captured most of the attention from investors.
