Temasek-Led Pixxel Raises $100 Mn to Expand Satellite Constellation
Pixxel, an Indian space technology startup backed by Google, has raised $100 million in its Series C funding round. This marks the largest single funding round for a space technology company in India.
The round was led by Singapore state investor Temasek and British space-technology venture firm Seraphim, with participation from existing investors Radical Ventures and growX Ventures, as well as new investors 360 ONE Asset and IMM Investment. The total funding now stands at $195 million.
Pixxel plans to use the fresh capital to expand its satellite constellation and Earth intelligence platform Aurora. This includes further developing its sensing capabilities through its Honeybee satellite constellation and high-resolution optical imaging satellites.
