Thai 737 MAX Planes Exempt from FAA's Structural Check-UPS
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has announced that an airworthiness directive issued by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for structural investigations on Boeing 737 MAX planes does not affect the 12 aircraft based in Thailand.
The FAA ordered a check-up on the forward right-hand service door frames of certain Boeing 737 MAX models after cracks were found on some operated by other countries.
The CAAT stated that the 12 Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes in Thailand are not among those targeted for inspection and can continue operations without additional checks.
