Thai Pilot Training Gets Boost from Boeing Collaboration

Boeing has formed an alliance with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand to strengthen pilot training. This is in response to the growing demand for pilots in Southeast Asia, where it's estimated that 66,000 new pilots will be needed over the next 20 years. The partnership focuses on using Boeing's proprietary 'Competency-Based Training and Assessment Learning Library' (CBTA) tool. This platform provides learning materials designed to enhance pilot competencies and increase training efficiency. Thai flight schools will have direct access to these resources.

The CBTA tool is the first regulatory body adoption of this kind, allowing schools and training centers to use Boeing's proprietary solution for their entire aviation ecosystem. According to Boeing, this collaboration will position Thai flight schools well to train pilots with the technical and behavioral competencies necessary for successful careers in airlines. Vice President Chris Broom emphasized that the initiative is helping equip trainee pilots with essential skills to operate safely and efficiently in the increasingly complex aviation environment.
