Thailand Braces for Quantum Computing Threat with Post-Quantum Cryptography Upgrade

The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and IBM Thailand have warned that Thailand should prepare for post-quantum cryptography (PQC), which could be vulnerable to 'harvest now, decrypt later' attacks.

Due to limited budgets, the country needs to prioritize which critical infrastructure should be upgraded first. The National Cyber Security Agency has advised organizations to assess their risk level and upgrade accordingly.

The IBM Quantum System One is a model of a quantum computer that could potentially break current encryption methods, making it essential for Thailand to adopt PQC as soon as possible.
