Thailand Embraces Zero Trust Strategy with NCSA and Microsoft Partnership

The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and Microsoft have joined forces to drive a Zero Trust strategy in Thailand, aiming to strengthen cybersecurity readiness across public, private, and critical information infrastructure sectors. The partnership co-organized the 'Zero Trust Guidelines in Action Workshop' to accelerate the adoption of Zero Trust security principles paired with AI capabilities.

Thailand faces significant cyber threats, with nearly 300 million leaked accounts and passwords accumulated in public databases. Threat actors are leveraging AI and automation to scan for vulnerabilities and execute attacks faster than ever, leaving response windows at just hours or even minutes.

NCSA Secretary-General AVM Amorn Chomchoey emphasized the need for Zero Trust adoption, stating that 'Cyber threats are advancing too fast for organizations to rely on usernames and passwords alone.' He highlighted the importance of executive leadership in leading a strategic effort to implement Zero Trust principles across organizations.
