The Imagineering Story Returns with Season 2

Disney has announced that its popular documentary series about theme park design and development, The Imagineering Story, will return for a second season. The series, directed by Leslie Iwerks, explores the history of Walt Disney Imagineering, from the early days of Disneyland to the creation of modern theme parks like Shanghai Disneyland.

In contrast to the first season, which focused on the company's past achievements, season two will delve into current projects and the inner workings of the design process. Iwerks has been documenting the creation of future attractions, including ones that are still in development.

The new season is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2028, although an exact release date has not been announced. Fans who can't wait for the documentary series can read a book version of The Imagineering Story, written by Iwerks and published in 2022.
