The Orville Season 4 Delayed by Seth MacFarlane's Busy Schedule and Disney Budget Cuts
The Orville's fourth season is reportedly ready to go, but its production may be held up due to Seth MacFarlane's busy schedule.
MacFarlane confirmed in March that the show's writers had completed a 10-episode fourth season and that Hulu was prepared to move forward with it. However, he noted that his own schedule has been a major hurdle to clear, citing other projects and commitments.
The delay may also be related to Disney's budget cuts and layoffs across its various studios, including Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios. The Orville is an expensive show to produce, given its high number of effects-heavy episodes.
