Three Dividend Stocks Hit 52-Week Lows: Time to Buy?
Three large-cap dividend-paying companies - PepsiCo (PEP), McDonald's (MCD), and Nike (NKE) - have hit their 52-week lows, presenting a buying opportunity for investors. According to TipRanks, these stocks are trading near one-year lows, signaling a chance to buy them at discounted prices.
On Wall Street, analysts consider PEP and MCD as Moderate Buy and NKE as Hold. However, Nike offers the biggest upside of around 28% and has the highest dividend yield of 4.12%, making it an attractive option for investors.
The ex-dividend date is approaching on September 1, 2026, which means that to qualify for the next dividend payments, investors must buy these stocks today. The payment dates are set as follows: McDonald's (MCD) - September 16, 2026; PepsiCo (PEP) - September 30, 2026; and Nike (NKE) - October 1, 2026.
Notably, Nike's shares have dropped by around 37% year-to-date to about $40 per share. McDonald's shares have also fallen by more than 12% to about $264 per share during the same period. In contrast, PepsiCo has traded flat, up only 0.21% since the start of the year.
PepsiCo is struggling with weaker demand in its largest market, while McDonald's is facing a pull-back on fast food consumption due to high inflation. Nike's shares have plummeted this year as its direct-to-consumer sales remain under pressure.
