Tim Cook Leaves Behind a Legacy of Growth and Innovation

Instruments

Tim Cook's tenure as CEO of Apple has come to an end after 15 years, during which time he oversaw significant growth and changes in the company. When Cook took over on August 24, 2011, Apple's market capitalization was around $350 billion. Today it stands at over $4.6 trillion, a staggering gain of 2,280%.

Under Cook's leadership, Apple expanded its services segment, which now boasts a profit margin of more than 75%. This is due in part to the company's loyal customer base and massive distribution system, with over 2.5 billion active Apple devices worldwide.

Cook also made strategic decisions regarding artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on embedding AI into billions of devices rather than investing heavily in cloud infrastructure. While Siri was once a leader in AI, it has since fallen behind, but the new and improved Siri AI is set to change that.
