Tinubu Praises Coca-Cola's $1 Billion Investment in Nigeria
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has welcomed Coca-Cola's proposed $1 billion investment in the country, describing it as a demonstration of confidence in Nigeria's economy.
The investment, which will span five years starting from 2024, is part of Coca-Cola's plan to increase its presence in Africa. The company has already invested $1.5 billion in Nigeria over the past decade.
Tinubu acknowledged that businesses face practical challenges in Nigeria but assured that his administration is addressing them through reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The President emphasized that his government's goal is to create a more predictable, competitive, and investment-friendly business environment. He highlighted key areas such as stable power supply, reliable infrastructure, clear regulations, efficient ports and logistics, access to foreign exchange, and a tax system that encourages productivity.
