Tinubu Welcomes Coca-Cola's $1 Billion Investment in Nigeria
Nigeria's President Bola Ahmed Tinubu welcomed Coca-Cola's proposed $1 billion investment in the country, assuring local and international investors that Nigeria is open for business.
Tinubu made this statement at the 75th anniversary celebration of the Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
He emphasized that the Federal Government is implementing reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda to make Nigeria's business environment more predictable, competitive and investment-friendly.
Tinubu identified reliable power and infrastructure, clear and consistent regulations, efficient ports and logistics, access to foreign exchange, and a tax system that encourages productive enterprise as critical factors influencing investment decisions.
He commended NBC for its continued investment in production capacity, including new production lines at Asejire in Oyo State and Challawa in Kano State, and urged businesses and policymakers to deepen local content by developing Nigerian companies into reliable suppliers.
