Tinubu Welcomes Coca-Cola's $1B Investment in Nigeria
Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu has welcomed Coca-Cola's proposed $1 billion investment in the country, calling it a demonstration of confidence in Nigeria's economy. The investment is set to span five years, starting from 2024.
Tinubu emphasized that his administration is working to create a more predictable, competitive and investment-friendly business environment. He acknowledged the challenges faced by businesses but assured investors that reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda are underway to address them.
The President highlighted the importance of infrastructure, regulations, ports, logistics, foreign exchange, and tax systems in supporting businesses. He stressed that his administration wants to build a more productive and competitive economy capable of reducing dependence on imports, expanding domestic manufacturing, and creating opportunities for Nigerians.
