TJX Companies Poised to Outshine Larger Retail Rivals
TJX Companies, the parent company of T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, may be a more attractive investment opportunity than Walmart (WMT) or Costco Wholesale (COST) right now.
While both Costco and Walmart are solid companies with growth potential, their stock prices have reached unsustainable levels, trading at over 40 times earnings. TJX's more modest valuation makes it a better bet for investors seeking value in the retail space.
In its first quarter of fiscal 2027, which ended on May 2, TJX generated 9% revenue growth and 6% comparable sales growth, with total sales reaching $14.3 billion.
